Rahel Getachew is a senior executive with more than 15 years of experience in branding, storytelling, government affairs, and global communications. She specializes in strategic narratives, country promotion initiatives, and digital diplomacy strategies that strengthen reputations, enhance international partnerships, and support economic growth. Currently serving as Director of Marketing & Communication for a U.S.-based aviation security company, she leads corporate branding, executive communications, media relations, and strategic visibility initiatives within the global security sector.
As Founder and Managing Director of Afrolehar LLC, Rahel advises governments, investment agencies, and international organizations on branding, stakeholder engagement, and global positioning strategies. Fluent in English, French, and Amharic, with proficiency in Spanish, she is also an accomplished speaker, moderator, producer, and host with extensive experience in multimedia production, corporate storytelling, and the writing and editing of books and manuscripts. Her work includes producing and hosting the “US-Africa Relations: A Time for Reset” series on Africa Prime, as well as speaking at major international forums including USAID, the Woodrow Wilson Center, Concordia Summit, and the White House African Heritage Month Forum.
