Russell Gray

Consultant/Producer

Russell Gray is a Producer, a former Casting Director and Television Academy Member (Emmys) whose experience encompasses over three decades of recognized work in Film & Television. Mr. Gray carved out a very successful track record as a Casting Director early in his career with the Series casting on “MacGyver”, “Highlander”, and “Robocop”. Gray’s casting career next expanded to indie films with high profile filmmakers including: Edward James Olmos, Alison Anders, Alexandre Rockwell, Quentin Tarantino & Martin Scorsese. And Gray's most recognized work in Casting was the multiple Emmy-winning "Sex And The City", which earned him membership in the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. Gray segued to producing with several indie films (while also casting) starring actors: Lou Diamond Phillips, Molly Ringwald, Lance Hendrickson, Scott Glen and Emmy winners, Andre Braugher & Joe Pantaliano. He was then recruited as the Faculty Chair of the New York Film Academy’s (inaugural) Producing Department to outline & develop the course curriculum for the entire Producing Program. Gray’s next projects as a Producer were Independent Film Festival (multiple) Winners, "Star Crossed","The Mulberry Tree" & "From The Head", followed by indie films with acclaimed directors, Renny Harlin, Mario Van Peeples & Robert Rodriquez. And now as part of the ATC Team, Gray was an Executive Producer on “Lansky” and “What We Hide”. Mr. Gray’s career is noted by a strong reputation as a “story-driven” producer with expertise in budgets & finance, story/script development, production and Post.
